FAQ – What is the dividend tax rate?

Under Dividends Tax the default position is that tax at 15% is withheld (or paid in the case of a dividend in specie) once a dividend is paid, unless one of the exemptions or a reduced rate is applicable. The Secondary Tax on Companies rate was 10% at the time it was replaced with the Dividends Tax.
